Handmade Seed Bead Squirtle Necklace

An adorable pixelated squirtle necklace! He was handmade by weaving one tiny Japanese Miyuki Delica Seed Bead together at a time with a needle and thermally bonded Wildfire bead weaving thread. Squirtle himself measures about an inch long and an inch and a quarter from nose to tail. He is attached to a 2mm thick black waxed cotton cord by a silver plated jumpring. The cord is finished with fold-over silver plated cord end, secured with a little bit of E6000 glue, and closes with a silver plated lobster claw clasp.

Since all my items are handmade by weaving one Miyuki Delica Seed Bead together at a time with a needle and 10lb test Wildfire bead weaving thread they are very flexible and, unlike perler beads, pieces do not fall off when bent. Each seed bead is securely woven to the bead directly above, below, and to the sides.
